Academic Program

Calvary Christian School utilizes the A Beka Book video school program. A Beka Book has a strong emphasis on phonics, math, and comprehension. The classrooms are multi-grade rooms in which each class views video instruction from teachers at A Beka. The teacher assigned in each class is then required to give supplemental instruction, provide supervision, facilitate reading groups, maintain a positive classroom environment, and provided spiritual, educational, and mentoring support.

Calvary Christian School also provides small classrooms and tutors for students who require additional instruction. Calvary Christian School offers piano instruction to students for an additional fee.

A typical day at Calvary Christian School begins at 8:15 A. M. with prayer, the pledge to the American flag, the pledge to the Christian flag, and pledge to the Word of God. Students then receive a Bible lesson from the classroom teacher and on Friday's attend a chapel service. Students then begin the academic day. The day ends at 2:25 P.M. Aftercare is available for parents up to 6:00 P.M. for an additional fee.

Teachers at Calvary Christian School maintain a high level of communication with parents through folders, notes, phone, conferences, and email.
